Shooting food is not as simple as it seems, but I guess I always knew that. I have made several attempts at taking pictures of my desserts, but they always just fell short.But, today I got to learn firsthand that styling food is not just an art. It is important to choose the right props, but setting up the lighting is a science! I have never seen anyone take so long to set up one shot, but each one came out perfect! Thank goodness for my photographer, Mike Carpenter! Having a professional makes all the difference! Thanks to his training and talent we officially have the first five shots for my cookbook.
