For the past couple years I have experimented with making healthier, no-bake, vegan desserts at home. It started out as a survival mission for me as I can’t eat dairy or wheat, and all the no-bake, vegan dessert recipes out there called for way too much added sugar. I then started making them for my annual Marquis Pilates & Fitness Studio Holiday Party. I felt like it was my job to show all my clients that there are easier, healthier options out there. This is really when my whole journey began.
At the very first holiday party clients were asking me for the recipes, and asking me to make some desserts for future events that they were hosting. I was more than flattered to share my recipes and desserts. As time went on, more and more requests came in–some for recipes that I had yet to develop, and some for orders just too big for me to make. I am not sure the exact moment that it happened, but sometime this past December I decided to share my recipes with as many people as I could by creating a cookbook. Now, I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions because I feel like a lot of people make them without a plan or goal. So my New Year’s Goal is to create and publish a healthier, no-bake, vegan dessert cookbook.
I know that I have a lot to get ready for, but I am excited to begin! I hope one day everyone will know that there is such a thing as a healthy dessert that the whole family can enjoy! Follow me on my journey as I prepare to share this dream with the world.
