What inspired me to start making raw desserts? My very first taste of RAW BROWNIES! A friend of mine made them and I was floored by how good they were! I had to make my own batch! So I locked in my own recipe that would satisfy any chocolate lover’s dream!
Chocolate Fudge Brownies
prep time: 5 mins
Ingredients
1 cup walnuts
1 1/3 cup deglet noor dates
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 tablespoons cacao powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS
Process all ingredients in food processor until finely ground and well combined. Consistency will look crumbly but should hold together when you pinch the mixture together in your hands. Line a 4×4 pan with parchment paper, then press mixture firmly into pan or roll into balls. Serve and enjoy. Uneaten dessert can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Helpful Hint: Be careful not to over process the ingredients. You will want to process just long enough so when you squeeze the mixture firmly it should hold together. You will know you have over processed if the mixture seems excessively oily.
